Native Americans not really interested in COVID masks US Army keeps sending
A recent U.S. Army initiative is being criticized as tone-deaf after numerous shipments of face coverings were rejected by Navajo Nation reservations nationwide and returned to sender, sources confirmed today.
The Army made multiple attempts to get the Navajo Nation leaders to accept unwelcome shipments of the masks, which officials said were critical in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. National Navajo leaders became suspicious after reports surfaced that reservations across the nation had received unusual and slightly-opened shipments of masks marked ‘courtesy of the U.S. Army.’
“The masks are unwarranted, unwelcome, and frankly, a little suspect,” said Jay Stalkingwolf, a spokesperson for the Navajo Nation. “We didn’t even order them. They just started arriving out of the blue so we sent the shipments back, but they kept re-sending them to us with no explanation.”
“We’re not falling for this again!” he added.
Navajo Nation, which sits adjacent to Camp Navajo Army Base in Bellemont, Arizona, is the nation’s largest Native American reservation with over 16 million acres of land that could theoretically hold dozens of Army facilities and barracks with enough space left for additional bombing ranges.
The Navajo land is primarily rural and could hypothetically be used for development, base expansion, or acquired through eminent domain, an Army official said.
“We had a lot of surplus masks so we decided to help these fine Navajo people who also happen to have a lot of unused land on their hands,” said Lt. Col. William “Bill” Trent III, who manages base expansion efforts. “We also found some blankets and neckerchiefs in storage so we included those along with the shipment of masks. Why would they reject blankets? Who in the world is afraid of blankets? It simply makes no sense.”
Kenny BigFoot, another spokesperson for Navajo Nation, has tried to open a dialogue with Army officials to help resolve the matter but has so far been met with silence.
“We have no reservations about the Army officers making reservations to come here to talk about issues regarding the reservations receiving unsolicited items from the U.S. Government,” BigFoot said.
“We know what’s best for these folks, said Maj. John Teasdale, Camp Navajo supply manager. “They need to accept our help in the form of these untampered-with COVID-19 masks. We don’t want them to be overwhelmed with COVID-19 and end up being quarantined in special camps, so we are offering them these completely trustworthy masks. What will it take to get these people to accept the masks, a case of whiskey?”

Surprise: The "Smartest" People Are Actually Painfully Stupid by Francis Menton
If you were lucky enough to attend America’s premier academic institution, Harvard University, you would receive most days, as I do, the Harvard Gazette. The Gazette generally cloaks its pieces in the mantle of “news”; but really its principal function is to find ways for us Harvard people to congratulate ourselves on how brilliant we are, while at the same time heaping scorn and derision on the ignorant deplorables who are always getting in the way of our plans to perfect the world.
You only need to read a few of these things before you start to realize that what might seem like the very “smartest” people — the ones with the fanciest degrees and the fanciest professorships at the fanciest universities — are actually painfully stupid.
Anyway, today’s Harvard Gazette arrives with some joyful news: Science is back! After four dreadful years of the “anti-science” Trump, we are now going to see, with Biden, the restoration of “science” to its rightful place in the formulation of public policy. This news is right there in the lead story, headline and sub-headline: “Is science back? Harvard’s Holdren says ‘yes’/Ex-Obama adviser says, unlike Trump, Biden and Harris will embrace factual analysis.” From the first paragraph:
[T]he incoming Biden-Harris administration has moved quickly to reinstall science as a foundation for government policy after four years of a president who disdained accepted scientific wisdom on subjects from wildfires to hurricane tracks, climate change to COVID-19.
The Gazette has learned that “science is back” by their usual method, which is by interviewing the leading Harvard professor on the subject. In this case that is John Holdren. Do you remember him? Holdren’s current title is “Teresa and John Heinz Professor of Environmental Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and professor of environmental science and policy in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences.” But before that he was “[A]ssistant to the [P]resident for science and technology and director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy,” a position in which he served for the entire eight years of the Obama presidency. You may remember that Holdren was confirmed unanimously by the Senate in March 2009, after minimal scrutiny of his background.
So give us an example, John, of how a Biden administration will prove to be more “pro-science” than that deplorable Trump:
GAZETTE: What is an example of a classic, successful government policy backed by good science? . . .
HOLDREN: I would point to the Paris Agreement, which was an immense step forward in which 195 countries all across the world committed to take constructive steps toward reducing their climate-altering emissions going forward. . . .
Now, as anyone who has read the Paris Agreement knows, the entire developing world — home to about 90% of the world’s people — made no commitments whatsoever in that document, nor did they even agree to any non-binding goals, toward “reducing their climate-altering emissions going forward.” Emissions from the developing world are rapidly increasing, and will continue to do so, Paris Agreement or no Paris Agreement, thus rendering any U.S. efforts to limit emissions completely futile. Holdren is either completely ignorant on this subject, or he is intentionally trying to mislead the readership. Or it could be some of both. You be the judge.
And by the way, might Holdren have some conflict of interest here that may be relevant? None is disclosed as such in the article. But you might happen to recognize that the funder of Holdren’s Harvard professorship, Teresa Heinz, is the wife of John Kerry. Kerry, of course, is the former Secretary of State who was in charge of negotiating the Paris Agreement, and who more recently co-chaired the panel that drafted the Biden energy program, and who undoubtedly is expecting some big position in an incoming Biden administration. But don’t worry, conflicts only apply to Republicans, so there is no need to mention any of this.
Anyway, if you think that John Holdren might be an appropriate person to weigh in on issues of the role of “science” in public policy, you may want to consider some of the man’s previous writings on the subject.
For example, in 1977 Holdren co-authored with Paul and Anne Ehrlich a textbook titled “Ecoscience.” We know that “Ecoscience” was about “science,” because it’s right there in the title; therefore we can be secure in understanding that this is a good place to look for Holdren’s views as to what using “science as a foundation for public policy” will entail. A principal theme of the book is that overpopulation is about to engulf the world (“science” has shown it!) and therefore governments are justified, and indeed required, to take the most extreme possible measures to prevent the impending disaster. In 2009, shortly after Holdren’s confirmation as Obama’s “science” advisor, a website called Zombietime collected a top-ten list of quotations from “Ecoscience.” Here are a few of my favorites:
• Involuntary fertility control. . . . A program of sterilizing women after their second or third child, despite the relatively greater difficulty of the operation than vasectomy, might be easier to implement than trying to sterilize men. The development of a long-term sterilizing capsule that could be implanted under the skin and removed when pregnancy is desired opens additional possibilities for coercive fertility control. The capsule could be implanted at puberty and might be removable, with official permission, for a limited number of births.
• If some individuals contribute to general social deterioration by overproducing children, and if the need is compelling, they can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility—just as they can be required to exercise responsibility in their resource-consumption patterns—providing they are not denied equal protection.
• In today's world, however, the number of children in a family is a matter of profound public concern. The law regulates other highly personal matters. For example, no one may lawfully have more than one spouse at a time. Why should the law not be able to prevent a person from having more than two children?
• Toward a Planetary Regime. . . . Perhaps those agencies, combined with UNEP and the United Nations population agencies, might eventually be developed into a Planetary Regime—sort of an international superagency for population, resources, and environment. Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural resources, renewable or nonrenewable, at least insofar as international implications exist. . . . The Regime might also be a logical central agency for regulating all international trade, perhaps including assistance from DCs to LDCs, and including all food on the international market. The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries' shares within their regional limits.
Now that I think of it, “painfully stupid” barely begins to describe the opinions of this man. Maybe we should go with “moral monster.”
Or you could try another book that Holdren co-authored with the Ehrlichs — “Human Ecology,” from 1973. In 2014 the website CFACT compiled a collection of choice quotes from this one. Again, I’ll give you just a few of my favorites:
• There is good reason to believe that population growth increases the probability of a lethal worldwide plague and of a thermonuclear war. Either could provide a catastrophic “death-rate solution” to the population problem; each is potentially capable of destroying civilization and even of driving Homo sapiens to extinction. . . . Perhaps more likely than extinction is the possibility that man will sur¬vive only to endure an existence barely recognizable as human-malnourished, beset by chronic disease, physically and emotionally impoverished, sur¬rounded by the devastation wrought by an industrial civilization that could not cope with the results of its own biological and social folly.
• Political pressure must be applied immediately to induce the United States government to assume its responsibility to halt the growth of the Ameri¬can population. Once growth is halted, the government should undertake to influence the birth rate so that the population is reduced to an optimum size and maintained there.
• A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environ¬ment in North America and to de-develop the United States. De-development means bringing our economic system (especially patterns of consumption) into line with the realities of ecology and the global resource situation.
In another post, this one from 2009, CFACT noted that Holdren had also managed to take alarmist positions on climate change both in warning about global warming and also about global cooling — and that he had managed to take both positions simultaneously. CFACT concluded:
Holdren is a “doom peddler” who latches onto the nightmare-scenario-du-jour — overpopulation, nuclear holocaust, global cooling, global warming (all of which he’s trumpeted at various points in his career) — and then wildly exaggerates it in order to scare the public into adopting his politicized “solutions.”
Or, to put it another way, “science is back”! De-develop the United States? Forced population control? A “planetary regime” to control all “resources”? The “science” requires it! All the “smart” people from Harvard know that. You can understand why Holdren is excited about a Biden presidency. Are you?

Colossal Electoral Fraud by Abp. Carlo Maria Viganò
The world in which we find ourselves living is, to use an expression from the Gospel, in se divisum (Matthew 12:25). This division, it seems to me, consists of a split between reality and fiction: objective reality on one side, and the fiction of the media on the other. This certainly applies to the pandemic, which has been used as a tool of social engineering that is instrumental to the Great Reset, but it applies even more to the surreal American political situation, in which the evidence of a colossal electoral fraud is being censored by the media, which now proclaims Joe Biden's victory as an accomplished fact.
The reality of COVID is blatantly in contrast with what the mainstream media wants us to believe, but this is not enough to dismantle the grotesque castle of falsehoods to which the majority of the population conforms with resignation. In a similar way, the reality of electoral fraud, of blatant violations of the rules and the systematic falsification of the results, contrasts with the narrative given to us by the information giants, who say that Joe Biden is the new president of the United States, period. And so it must be: There are no alternatives, either to the supposed devastating fury of a seasonal flu that caused the same number of deaths as last year, or to the inevitability of the election of a candidate who is corrupt and subservient to the deep State. In fact, Biden has already promised to restore the lockdown.
Reality no longer matters: It is absolutely irrelevant when it stands between the conceived plan and its realization. COVID and Biden are two holograms, two artificial creations, ready to be adapted time and time again to contingent needs or respectively replaced when necessary with COVID-21 and Kamala Harris. The accusations of irresponsibility thrown at Trump supporters for holding rallies vanish as soon as Biden's supporters gather in the streets, as has already happened for BLM demonstrations. What is criminal for some people is permitted for others: without explanations, without logic, without rationality. The mere fact of being on the Left, of voting for Biden, of putting on the mask is a pass to do anything, while simply being on the Right, voting for Trump or questioning the effectiveness of masks is sufficient reason for condemnation and an execution that does not require any evidence or a trial: They are ipso facto labeled as fascists, sovereignists, populists, deniers — and those labeled with these social stigmas are supposed to simply silently withdraw.
We thus return to that division between good people and evil people, which is ridiculed when it is used by one side — ours — and conversely held up as an incontestable postulate when used by our adversaries. We have seen this with the contemptuous comments responding to my words about the "children of Light" and the "children of darkness," as if my "apocalyptic tones" were the fruit of a ravingly mad mind and not the simple observation of reality. But by disdainfully rejecting this biblical division of humanity, they have actually confirmed it, restricting to themselves alone the right to give the stamp of social, political and religious legitimacy.
They are the good ones, even if they support the killing of the innocent — and we are supposed to get over it. They are the ones supporting democracy, even if in order to win elections they must always resort to deception and fraud — even fraud that is blatantly evident. They are the defenders of freedom, even if they deprive us of it day after day. They are objective and honest, even if their corruption and their crimes are now obvious even to the blind. The dogma that they despise and deride in others is indisputable and incontrovertible when it is they who promote it.
But as I have said previously, they are forgetting a small detail, a particular that they cannot understand: The Truth exists in itself; it exists regardless of whether there is someone who believes it, because the Truth possesses in itself, ontologically, its own reason for validity. The Truth cannot be denied because it is an attribute of God; it is God Himself. And everything that is true participates in this primacy over lies. We can thus be theologically and philosophically certain that these deceptions' hours are numbered, because it will be enough to shine light on them to make them collapse. Light and darkness, precisely. So let us allow light to be shed on the deceptions of Biden and the Democrats, without taking even one step back: The fraud that they have plotted against President Trump and against America will not remain standing for long, nor will the worldwide fraud of COVID, the responsibility of the Chinese dictatorship, the complicity of the corrupt and traitors, and the enslavement of the deep Church. Tout se tient ("Everything fits together").
In this panorama of systematically constructed lies, spread by the media with a disturbing impudence, the election of Joe Biden is not only desired but is considered indispensable and therefore true and therefore definitive. Even though the vote counts are not completed; even though the vote verifications and recounts are only just beginning; even though the lawsuits alleging fraud have only just been filed. Biden must become president, because they have already decided it: The vote of the American people is valid only if it ratifies this narrative — otherwise, it is "reinterpreted," dismissed as plebiscite drift, populism and fascism.
It is therefore not surprising that the Democrats have such coarse and violent enthusiasm for their candidate in pectore, nor that the media and the official commentators have such uncontainable satisfaction, nor that political leaders from around the world are expressing their support and sycophantic subjection to the deep State. We are watching a race to see who can arrive first, elbowing and sprawling to show off, so that they can be seen to have always believed in the crushing victory of the Democratic puppet.
But if we understand that the sycophancy of world heads of state and party secretaries is simply a part of the trite script of the global Left, we are frankly left quite disturbed by the declarations of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, immediately republished by Vatican News, which with disturbing cross-eyedness credits itself with having supported "the second Catholic president in the history of the United States," apparently forgetting the not-negligible detail that Biden is avidly pro-abortion, a supporter of LGBT ideology and of anti-Catholic globalism.
The archbishop of Los Angeles, José H. Gomez, profaning the memory of the Cristeros martyrs of his native country, says bluntly: "The American people have spoken." The frauds that have been denounced and widely proven matter little: The annoying formality of the vote of the people, albeit adulterated in a thousand ways, must now be considered to be concluded in favor of the standard-bearer of aligned, mainstream thought. We have read, not without retching, the posts of James Martin, S.J., and all those courtiers who are pawing to get on Biden's chariot in order to share in his ephemeral triumph. Those who disagree, those who ask for clarity, those who have recourse to the law to see their rights protected do not have any legitimacy and must be silent, resign themselves and disappear. Or rather: They must be "united" with the exultant choir, applaud and smile. Those who do not accept are threatening democracy and must be ostracized. As may be seen, there are still two sides, but this time they are legitimate and indisputable because it is they who impose them.
It is indicative that the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and Planned Parenthood are both expressing their satisfaction for the presumed electoral victory of the same person. This unanimity of consensus recalls the enthusiastic support of the Masonic Lodges on the occasion of the election of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, which was also not free from the shadow of fraud within the Conclave and was equally desired by the deep State, as we know clearly from the emails of John Podesta and the ties of Theodore McCarrick and his colleagues with the Democrats and with Biden himself. A very nice little group of cronies, no doubt about it.
With these words of the USCCB the pactum sceleris ("plot to commit a crime") between the deep State and the deep Church is confirmed and sealed, the enslavement of the highest levels of the Catholic hierarchy to the New World Order, denying the teaching of Christ and the doctrine of the Church. Taking note of this is the first, imperative step in order to understand the complexity of the present events and consider them in a supernatural, eschatological perspective. We know, indeed we firmly believe, that Christ, the one true Light of the world, has already conquered the darkness that obscures it.
American Catholics must multiply their prayers and beg the Lord for a special protection for the president of the United States. I ask priests, especially during these days, to recite the Exorcism against Satan and the apostate angels, and to celebrate the Votive Mass Pro Defensione ab hostibus. Let us confidently ask for the intervention of the Blessed Virgin Mary, to whose Immaculate Heart we consecrate the United States of America and the entire world.

Colossal Electoral Fraud by Abp. Carlo Maria Viganò
The world in which we find ourselves living is, to use an expression from the Gospel, in se divisum (Matthew 12:25). This division, it seems to me, consists of a split between reality and fiction: objective reality on one side, and the fiction of the media on the other. This certainly applies to the pandemic, which has been used as a tool of social engineering that is instrumental to the Great Reset, but it applies even more to the surreal American political situation, in which the evidence of a colossal electoral fraud is being censored by the media, which now proclaims Joe Biden's victory as an accomplished fact.
The reality of COVID is blatantly in contrast with what the mainstream media wants us to believe, but this is not enough to dismantle the grotesque castle of falsehoods to which the majority of the population conforms with resignation. In a similar way, the reality of electoral fraud, of blatant violations of the rules and the systematic falsification of the results, contrasts with the narrative given to us by the information giants, who say that Joe Biden is the new president of the United States, period. And so it must be: There are no alternatives, either to the supposed devastating fury of a seasonal flu that caused the same number of deaths as last year, or to the inevitability of the election of a candidate who is corrupt and subservient to the deep State. In fact, Biden has already promised to restore the lockdown.
Reality no longer matters: It is absolutely irrelevant when it stands between the conceived plan and its realization. COVID and Biden are two holograms, two artificial creations, ready to be adapted time and time again to contingent needs or respectively replaced when necessary with COVID-21 and Kamala Harris. The accusations of irresponsibility thrown at Trump supporters for holding rallies vanish as soon as Biden's supporters gather in the streets, as has already happened for BLM demonstrations. What is criminal for some people is permitted for others: without explanations, without logic, without rationality. The mere fact of being on the Left, of voting for Biden, of putting on the mask is a pass to do anything, while simply being on the Right, voting for Trump or questioning the effectiveness of masks is sufficient reason for condemnation and an execution that does not require any evidence or a trial: They are ipso facto labeled as fascists, sovereignists, populists, deniers — and those labeled with these social stigmas are supposed to simply silently withdraw.
We thus return to that division between good people and evil people, which is ridiculed when it is used by one side — ours — and conversely held up as an incontestable postulate when used by our adversaries. We have seen this with the contemptuous comments responding to my words about the "children of Light" and the "children of darkness," as if my "apocalyptic tones" were the fruit of a ravingly mad mind and not the simple observation of reality. But by disdainfully rejecting this biblical division of humanity, they have actually confirmed it, restricting to themselves alone the right to give the stamp of social, political and religious legitimacy.
They are the good ones, even if they support the killing of the innocent — and we are supposed to get over it. They are the ones supporting democracy, even if in order to win elections they must always resort to deception and fraud — even fraud that is blatantly evident. They are the defenders of freedom, even if they deprive us of it day after day. They are objective and honest, even if their corruption and their crimes are now obvious even to the blind. The dogma that they despise and deride in others is indisputable and incontrovertible when it is they who promote it.
But as I have said previously, they are forgetting a small detail, a particular that they cannot understand: The Truth exists in itself; it exists regardless of whether there is someone who believes it, because the Truth possesses in itself, ontologically, its own reason for validity. The Truth cannot be denied because it is an attribute of God; it is God Himself. And everything that is true participates in this primacy over lies. We can thus be theologically and philosophically certain that these deceptions' hours are numbered, because it will be enough to shine light on them to make them collapse. Light and darkness, precisely. So let us allow light to be shed on the deceptions of Biden and the Democrats, without taking even one step back: The fraud that they have plotted against President Trump and against America will not remain standing for long, nor will the worldwide fraud of COVID, the responsibility of the Chinese dictatorship, the complicity of the corrupt and traitors, and the enslavement of the deep Church. Tout se tient ("Everything fits together").
In this panorama of systematically constructed lies, spread by the media with a disturbing impudence, the election of Joe Biden is not only desired but is considered indispensable and therefore true and therefore definitive. Even though the vote counts are not completed; even though the vote verifications and recounts are only just beginning; even though the lawsuits alleging fraud have only just been filed. Biden must become president, because they have already decided it: The vote of the American people is valid only if it ratifies this narrative — otherwise, it is "reinterpreted," dismissed as plebiscite drift, populism and fascism.
It is therefore not surprising that the Democrats have such coarse and violent enthusiasm for their candidate in pectore, nor that the media and the official commentators have such uncontainable satisfaction, nor that political leaders from around the world are expressing their support and sycophantic subjection to the deep State. We are watching a race to see who can arrive first, elbowing and sprawling to show off, so that they can be seen to have always believed in the crushing victory of the Democratic puppet.
But if we understand that the sycophancy of world heads of state and party secretaries is simply a part of the trite script of the global Left, we are frankly left quite disturbed by the declarations of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, immediately republished by Vatican News, which with disturbing cross-eyedness credits itself with having supported "the second Catholic president in the history of the United States," apparently forgetting the not-negligible detail that Biden is avidly pro-abortion, a supporter of LGBT ideology and of anti-Catholic globalism.
The archbishop of Los Angeles, José H. Gomez, profaning the memory of the Cristeros martyrs of his native country, says bluntly: "The American people have spoken." The frauds that have been denounced and widely proven matter little: The annoying formality of the vote of the people, albeit adulterated in a thousand ways, must now be considered to be concluded in favor of the standard-bearer of aligned, mainstream thought. We have read, not without retching, the posts of James Martin, S.J., and all those courtiers who are pawing to get on Biden's chariot in order to share in his ephemeral triumph. Those who disagree, those who ask for clarity, those who have recourse to the law to see their rights protected do not have any legitimacy and must be silent, resign themselves and disappear. Or rather: They must be "united" with the exultant choir, applaud and smile. Those who do not accept are threatening democracy and must be ostracized. As may be seen, there are still two sides, but this time they are legitimate and indisputable because it is they who impose them.
It is indicative that the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and Planned Parenthood are both expressing their satisfaction for the presumed electoral victory of the same person. This unanimity of consensus recalls the enthusiastic support of the Masonic Lodges on the occasion of the election of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, which was also not free from the shadow of fraud within the Conclave and was equally desired by the deep State, as we know clearly from the emails of John Podesta and the ties of Theodore McCarrick and his colleagues with the Democrats and with Biden himself. A very nice little group of cronies, no doubt about it.
With these words of the USCCB the pactum sceleris ("plot to commit a crime") between the deep State and the deep Church is confirmed and sealed, the enslavement of the highest levels of the Catholic hierarchy to the New World Order, denying the teaching of Christ and the doctrine of the Church. Taking note of this is the first, imperative step in order to understand the complexity of the present events and consider them in a supernatural, eschatological perspective. We know, indeed we firmly believe, that Christ, the one true Light of the world, has already conquered the darkness that obscures it.
American Catholics must multiply their prayers and beg the Lord for a special protection for the president of the United States. I ask priests, especially during these days, to recite the Exorcism against Satan and the apostate angels, and to celebrate the Votive Mass Pro Defensione ab hostibus. Let us confidently ask for the intervention of the Blessed Virgin Mary, to whose Immaculate Heart we consecrate the United States of America and the entire world.

Avoiding The Cognitive Dissonance Mudslide by Corey’s Digs
The opposition attacks, in-fighting, and shills have increased exponentially over the past couple of months, creating disconcerting levels of cognitive dissonance across the board. There is good reason for this. Truth is rising to the surface at rapid pace, and disinformation and misinformation is being launched from all sides in order to control it, manipulate it, and in some cases, put a lid on it. The goal is to create enough doubt, that fear and rage become the driving force, to distract, destroy and divide, so that confusion becomes the new normal. Cognitive dissonance has set in stronger than ever before, and people from all walks of life are caught up in it. How does one ride this wave and maintain focus, clarity, and discernment? How does one recognize the manipulation tactics being used so as to make calculated decisions without falling into the traps?
Picking it Apart: Storytelling Versus Evidence-based Stories
A story consists of characters, with the narrator being the storyteller. The narrator has both desire and motive to paint the characters as they want the readers to perceive them. Creating a compelling story requires invoking emotion, connecting with the audience, and feeding them information that they find of interest. There is always a “hook” to get their attention. A story rarely includes actual evidence, cites sources, and displays the facts. If the intention of the storyteller is to convince people of something, and they don’t have evidence to back it, they will oftentimes include elements from another story in order to invoke emotion and bolster their narrative. Always question the storyteller, and do not accept vague generalities and inadequate explanations, or allow them to dismiss you, shame you, or guilt you. If the story is confusing or ambiguous, it is likely done that way intentionally, and they are unable to backup their allegations.
Evidence-based stories, on the other hand, include actual data. Not just any data, very specific data, that backs up and supports the narrative. This data may consist of verifiable timelines, statistical reports by trusted organizations, compelling photographs pertaining specifically to the narrative, video proof (not hearsay), financial transactions and grants, tax documents, and court documents. It may also cite press releases and articles that help establish a timeline and whereabouts. This data makes the connections that are attributed to the narrative itself.
Sometimes storytellers take one fact, spin it into an expansive narrative that is not evidence-based, and project the opposite of the truth. Oftentimes they can be very persuasive, especially if they have people believing they are coming from a more vulnerable state. All of this is witnessed daily in the MSM and across social media. In most cases it is done with intention, yet in other cases, individuals have reached a state of cognitive dissonance and can no longer assess truth with any level of certainty. Those individuals tend to repeat opinion-based stories that lack evidence because it seems like a plausible story. In most cases, people do not do their own fact-checking. This is incredibly necessary in this day and age as the manipulation tactics increase.
Common Manipulation Tactics
Classic Baiting
This is a key tactic used often across social media. Someone will bounce into a thread and post what would appear to be an innocent question. Pay attention to the exact words used. Are they stating the obvious? Are they asking your feelings about content within the thread? Are they giving a very slight dig to provoke you? These are all baiting tactics to create a debate and either consume your time, invoke anger, or get you to say something ornery so they can report you.
Sympathy Baiting
This style of baiting is when someone approaches another with some level of suffering they are experiencing. They play on ones emotions while trying to earn their trust and get them in a more vulnerable state. This is done in order to get someone to say or reveal something they feel they can utilize to spin against the person in order to discredit them.
Triangulation
A method requiring at least 3 individuals. One is the spinner, one is the baiter, and one is the target. Once the baiter grabs a piece of information they deem useful, they flip it to the spinner. The spinner picks up a pack of baiters to persistently attack the target. They also have baiters that pretend to be kind to the target so they can grab additional info to flip back to the original spinner.
Building an Army Pack
As seen with the MSM, George Soros, numerous politicians, and Hollywood elites, these individuals are famous for building armies to push their narrative. There are many people on social media who have mirrored these actions, for purposes of building their own armies to attack what they consider to be the competition, and discredit them. Same model, different players. When groups of individuals are all shouting out the same narrative, based from opinion, with little to no evidence, this is a form of mind manipulation by those building the packs. This is a “groupthink” effort. Once the pack is formed, the individuals become afraid to leave their pack and think for themselves for fear the pack may turn on them.
Persuasion & Intimidation
Persuasion is a very big game happening right now. Despite whether or not an individual believes their own lies, if they project strong levels of confidence in their stories though communication and body language, they come across as stable, sane, and even credible. This can be very dangerous because they will pretend to be your ally, act as though they have mutual interests and concerns as you, and begin seeding you. They will then ask for assistance with something small, such as blocking someone on social media, but gradually move up to bigger asks, such as blocking people from eating in a restaurant. Don’t ever believe that anyone is more powerful than yourself, that you should do as another says, or give them that level of control over you. Speak, think, and act with your own convictions.
Projection & Smears
This is probably the most utilized manipulation tactic on the market. In fact, this tactic is so well known and learned throughout the years, that it’s often used in relationships as well. Projection goes far beyond the realm of politics, but politics is more than likely where it was devised. When an individual or a pack all project onto others the very reality about themselves, this is called projection.
Deflection
If someone refuses to provide evidence when asked, becomes aggressive and rude, and shouts “do your own research,” that is deflection 101. If the snippet of evidence or so-called evidence they did provide, causes one concern or doubt for its validity, there is good reason for that. Confusion is the name of the game. If an individual further references other material instead of the one in question, this is clear-cut deflection.
Shaming and Guilting
This is another big one seen daily throughout the MSM. Pretending to care about something or someone, when there is really an ulterior motive in play. They will go to great lengths to shame individuals as well as groups of people, going so far as to segregate their attacks toward entire genders or races. This is also reflected in social media, which has been gaining a large momentum of false victims, set out to shame and guilt their followers in order to feed their narrative for various agendas. For all parties pushing the shaming and guilting, it is so they will not be challenged or questioned. This is an easy slide tactic to get around answering questions directly, resulting in a rebuttal, rather than an answer.
Those That Scream The Loudest
Shouting is probably the biggest giveaway these days, with all of the hate and anger claiming the stage. They scream loudly, while oftentimes encouraging violence, pack attacks on individuals, and harassment. This can be witnessed from some of the corrupt individuals that fear they may be charged for criminal actions. But more so, this is observed across social media platforms where individuals are instigating others to harass and attack individuals who are trying to do good in this world. When folks spend the majority of their time attacking others, instead of focusing on positive missions to help others, one must question their true motives. There are certain politicians that likely spend 90% of their time attacking, fighting, and inciting violence, as opposed to performing their job and helping this country.
The Spin
The spin is simple, and it’s done all the time. Someone takes a tiny piece of information, builds a false “story” around it, and delivers it to their audience with incredible enthusiasm and confidence. Altering and distorting truth to fulfill their agenda. It’s important for people to step outside of emotion when evaluating information so that it can be processed and analyzed with critical thinking, as opposed to swallowing it hook, line, and sinker because it seems persuasive.
Money Myth
This is by far one of the most widely pushed misconceptions of all time that still has people scratching their heads. It is an old school manipulation tactic that is the very basis of the money enslavement system that has been forged into society for decades. Citizens are mere peasants who are supposed to spend countless hours a week working so as to have little time to observe what they are witnessing, and recognize truth. Therefore, if people are to observe truth and report truth, they must be stopped. What is one of the easiest ways to discredit them? Make the claim that those that ask for donations for their countless hours of time to research and bring that truth to the forefront, are pure evil. Though they provide the information for free, they must be child traffickers, pedophiles, or deep state shills. Surely they are CIA. This is an attempt to discredit, divide, and prevent the information from coming out, as well as prevent those actively on the ground from being able to carry out their due diligence in helping others.
It’s quite simple when you break it down. Those full-timers that make the argument that they do not make any money or ask for any money to support their work, while comparing themselves to those that also do this full-time with a donate button, would be incorrect in their statement. Someone is supporting them. Not everyone has that luxury. The real question is, who is supporting them? There are 3 options:
If they are able to spend countless hours a week on their computer, someone else is in fact paying their way and supporting them by putting a roof over their head and feeding them, as well as taking care of all other expenditures. Otherwise, they would be on the street without a computer and internet.
If they do not have someone else financially supporting them, then they inherited a nice sum of money along the way. Again, someone else is in fact supporting them.
If option 1 and option 2 are not the case, that leaves option 3. They are paid opposition.
Imagine if everyone who is capable of doing deep research, exposing corrupt individuals, fighting against child traffickers, and fighting for survivors, all left the scene of the crime to take on full-time jobs so they can put a roof over their heads and pay their bills. Imagine what that would look like. Mere fractions of the truth would be exposed. Hundreds of thousands of people in this fight would no longer carry a voice or produce the information. The pressure on the government would slow to a roll. The public would be far from woke.
Here’s the reality. Those that have certain skill sets and were impassioned to fight this battle, sacrificed a lot to step up. Many are scraping pennies in the name of truth. The majority of the truth fighters could care less about fame. In addition to that, hundreds of thousands with full-time jobs have also stepped up to fight this battle within the time frames available to them. Everyone is working their butts off, and everyone deserves to eat and have a roof over their head. This is not only a battle for our country, but a spiritual battle for our souls. But at the end of the day, if they promote a “donate button”, they are vilified. It is a manipulative tactic that has seeped into the minds of many, and it is the one tactic everyone should be able to spot on a dime. It’s the money enslavement “how dare you” system to prevent truth, that has been in place for decades. Those that spend a great deal of time pushing this narrative, should be asked who’s paying for all of their bills, if they are doing this full-time?
Discernment & Perception
Have you ever wanted to believe in something so badly that you convinced yourself it was true?
The reality is, truth isn’t always pretty. Sometimes truth comes in a very complex package. Try to remove yourself from the emotion around it, take a step back, and see it through a scientific lens. You are combing for facts. You cannot pick and choose truth based on how you feel about it, or whether you like someone or not, or even if you know someone or not. Facts speak for themselves. Not a partial fact, but the complete facts. Circumstantial evidence paints a picture, providing itself is in fact solid evidence, but it does not provide the entire reality. It lends itself to future discoveries that may eventually lead to the entire reality, so it’s always wise to keep it in your back pocket until enough facts are revealed. If these facts are not backed with solid evidence, and are the makings of a twisted narrative from a potential fraction of truth, it should give one pause as to what motives lie beneath.
If one really wants to have a fuller comprehension of just how deep the level of distortion within social influence is, this 1979 essay on “Resisting Social Influence” from Standford University is well worth the read. It not only dives into social influence, but covers ways to combat the control and confusion by using critical thinking. It was unclassified for the Office of Naval Research – Organization Effectiveness Research Programs. Here is a very brief intro to what it discusses:
“Resisting social influence becomes important when such influences can be appropriately thought of as “mind control.” When information is systematically hidden, withheld or distorted it is impossible to make unbiased decisions. Under these circumstances, people may be subtly led to believe they are “freely” choosing to act. The thesis of this essay is that “mind control” exists not in exotic gimmicks, but rather in the most mundane aspects of experience. Because it does, it is possible to reduce our susceptibility to unwanted coercive control by increasing our vigilance and learning to utilize certain basic strategies of analysis.”
Their Goal: Distraction, Destruction & Division
This has been the goal all along, and everyone should be aware of this by now. Whereas this began decades ago, and has been carried out under the guise of caring for people, it has reared its ugly head in full transparency for all to see. In fact, it’s pushed in everyone’s faces on a minute-to-minute basis, and it has moved way beyond the usual suspects. The concept has seethed its way into countless individuals who are utilizing these tactics on a regular basis. It seems easy to pinpoint for most people, when it comes to known nefarious actors, but not so easy when dealing with vast amounts of people across social media platforms. Some do it for attention, some want to obliterate what they deem as their competition, some like to play that junior high school game of being in “clicks” which somehow makes them feel special, and some get paid to do it. Unfortunately, all of this confusion has resulted in a staggering amount of individuals who are doing it subconsciously without even being aware of the destruction and division they are creating. Don’t fall for their tactics. Learn to spot them.

• Never underestimate your worthiness
• Doubt stems from fear – intuition stems from truth
• Do not invest in what others think about you
• Do not idolize others, exposing yourself to be exploited
• If you are confused, step away and return with clarity
• Do not jump to conclusions or make assumptions
• Don’t engage in the rage
• Avoid groupthink and think for yourself
• Don’t stand for shaming or guilting
• Never give up, but find balance
• Know their tactics
Pull up your boots, put on your thinking cap, and avoid the cognitive dissonance mudslide.

Avoiding The Cognitive Dissonance Mudslide by Corey’s Digs
The opposition attacks, in-fighting, and shills have increased exponentially over the past couple of months, creating disconcerting levels of cognitive dissonance across the board. There is good reason for this. Truth is rising to the surface at rapid pace, and disinformation and misinformation is being launched from all sides in order to control it, manipulate it, and in some cases, put a lid on it. The goal is to create enough doubt, that fear and rage become the driving force, to distract, destroy and divide, so that confusion becomes the new normal. Cognitive dissonance has set in stronger than ever before, and people from all walks of life are caught up in it. How does one ride this wave and maintain focus, clarity, and discernment? How does one recognize the manipulation tactics being used so as to make calculated decisions without falling into the traps?
Picking it Apart: Storytelling Versus Evidence-based Stories
A story consists of characters, with the narrator being the storyteller. The narrator has both desire and motive to paint the characters as they want the readers to perceive them. Creating a compelling story requires invoking emotion, connecting with the audience, and feeding them information that they find of interest. There is always a “hook” to get their attention. A story rarely includes actual evidence, cites sources, and displays the facts. If the intention of the storyteller is to convince people of something, and they don’t have evidence to back it, they will oftentimes include elements from another story in order to invoke emotion and bolster their narrative. Always question the storyteller, and do not accept vague generalities and inadequate explanations, or allow them to dismiss you, shame you, or guilt you. If the story is confusing or ambiguous, it is likely done that way intentionally, and they are unable to backup their allegations.
Evidence-based stories, on the other hand, include actual data. Not just any data, very specific data, that backs up and supports the narrative. This data may consist of verifiable timelines, statistical reports by trusted organizations, compelling photographs pertaining specifically to the narrative, video proof (not hearsay), financial transactions and grants, tax documents, and court documents. It may also cite press releases and articles that help establish a timeline and whereabouts. This data makes the connections that are attributed to the narrative itself.
Sometimes storytellers take one fact, spin it into an expansive narrative that is not evidence-based, and project the opposite of the truth. Oftentimes they can be very persuasive, especially if they have people believing they are coming from a more vulnerable state. All of this is witnessed daily in the MSM and across social media. In most cases it is done with intention, yet in other cases, individuals have reached a state of cognitive dissonance and can no longer assess truth with any level of certainty. Those individuals tend to repeat opinion-based stories that lack evidence because it seems like a plausible story. In most cases, people do not do their own fact-checking. This is incredibly necessary in this day and age as the manipulation tactics increase.
Common Manipulation Tactics
Classic Baiting
This is a key tactic used often across social media. Someone will bounce into a thread and post what would appear to be an innocent question. Pay attention to the exact words used. Are they stating the obvious? Are they asking your feelings about content within the thread? Are they giving a very slight dig to provoke you? These are all baiting tactics to create a debate and either consume your time, invoke anger, or get you to say something ornery so they can report you.
Sympathy Baiting
This style of baiting is when someone approaches another with some level of suffering they are experiencing. They play on ones emotions while trying to earn their trust and get them in a more vulnerable state. This is done in order to get someone to say or reveal something they feel they can utilize to spin against the person in order to discredit them.
Triangulation
A method requiring at least 3 individuals. One is the spinner, one is the baiter, and one is the target. Once the baiter grabs a piece of information they deem useful, they flip it to the spinner. The spinner picks up a pack of baiters to persistently attack the target. They also have baiters that pretend to be kind to the target so they can grab additional info to flip back to the original spinner.
Building an Army Pack
As seen with the MSM, George Soros, numerous politicians, and Hollywood elites, these individuals are famous for building armies to push their narrative. There are many people on social media who have mirrored these actions, for purposes of building their own armies to attack what they consider to be the competition, and discredit them. Same model, different players. When groups of individuals are all shouting out the same narrative, based from opinion, with little to no evidence, this is a form of mind manipulation by those building the packs. This is a “groupthink” effort. Once the pack is formed, the individuals become afraid to leave their pack and think for themselves for fear the pack may turn on them.
Persuasion & Intimidation
Persuasion is a very big game happening right now. Despite whether or not an individual believes their own lies, if they project strong levels of confidence in their stories though communication and body language, they come across as stable, sane, and even credible. This can be very dangerous because they will pretend to be your ally, act as though they have mutual interests and concerns as you, and begin seeding you. They will then ask for assistance with something small, such as blocking someone on social media, but gradually move up to bigger asks, such as blocking people from eating in a restaurant. Don’t ever believe that anyone is more powerful than yourself, that you should do as another says, or give them that level of control over you. Speak, think, and act with your own convictions.
Projection & Smears
This is probably the most utilized manipulation tactic on the market. In fact, this tactic is so well known and learned throughout the years, that it’s often used in relationships as well. Projection goes far beyond the realm of politics, but politics is more than likely where it was devised. When an individual or a pack all project onto others the very reality about themselves, this is called projection.
Deflection
If someone refuses to provide evidence when asked, becomes aggressive and rude, and shouts “do your own research,” that is deflection 101. If the snippet of evidence or so-called evidence they did provide, causes one concern or doubt for its validity, there is good reason for that. Confusion is the name of the game. If an individual further references other material instead of the one in question, this is clear-cut deflection.
Shaming and Guilting
This is another big one seen daily throughout the MSM. Pretending to care about something or someone, when there is really an ulterior motive in play. They will go to great lengths to shame individuals as well as groups of people, going so far as to segregate their attacks toward entire genders or races. This is also reflected in social media, which has been gaining a large momentum of false victims, set out to shame and guilt their followers in order to feed their narrative for various agendas. For all parties pushing the shaming and guilting, it is so they will not be challenged or questioned. This is an easy slide tactic to get around answering questions directly, resulting in a rebuttal, rather than an answer.
Those That Scream The Loudest
Shouting is probably the biggest giveaway these days, with all of the hate and anger claiming the stage. They scream loudly, while oftentimes encouraging violence, pack attacks on individuals, and harassment. This can be witnessed from some of the corrupt individuals that fear they may be charged for criminal actions. But more so, this is observed across social media platforms where individuals are instigating others to harass and attack individuals who are trying to do good in this world. When folks spend the majority of their time attacking others, instead of focusing on positive missions to help others, one must question their true motives. There are certain politicians that likely spend 90% of their time attacking, fighting, and inciting violence, as opposed to performing their job and helping this country.
The Spin
The spin is simple, and it’s done all the time. Someone takes a tiny piece of information, builds a false “story” around it, and delivers it to their audience with incredible enthusiasm and confidence. Altering and distorting truth to fulfill their agenda. It’s important for people to step outside of emotion when evaluating information so that it can be processed and analyzed with critical thinking, as opposed to swallowing it hook, line, and sinker because it seems persuasive.
Money Myth
This is by far one of the most widely pushed misconceptions of all time that still has people scratching their heads. It is an old school manipulation tactic that is the very basis of the money enslavement system that has been forged into society for decades. Citizens are mere peasants who are supposed to spend countless hours a week working so as to have little time to observe what they are witnessing, and recognize truth. Therefore, if people are to observe truth and report truth, they must be stopped. What is one of the easiest ways to discredit them? Make the claim that those that ask for donations for their countless hours of time to research and bring that truth to the forefront, are pure evil. Though they provide the information for free, they must be child traffickers, pedophiles, or deep state shills. Surely they are CIA. This is an attempt to discredit, divide, and prevent the information from coming out, as well as prevent those actively on the ground from being able to carry out their due diligence in helping others.
It’s quite simple when you break it down. Those full-timers that make the argument that they do not make any money or ask for any money to support their work, while comparing themselves to those that also do this full-time with a donate button, would be incorrect in their statement. Someone is supporting them. Not everyone has that luxury. The real question is, who is supporting them? There are 3 options:
If they are able to spend countless hours a week on their computer, someone else is in fact paying their way and supporting them by putting a roof over their head and feeding them, as well as taking care of all other expenditures. Otherwise, they would be on the street without a computer and internet.
If they do not have someone else financially supporting them, then they inherited a nice sum of money along the way. Again, someone else is in fact supporting them.
If option 1 and option 2 are not the case, that leaves option 3. They are paid opposition.
Imagine if everyone who is capable of doing deep research, exposing corrupt individuals, fighting against child traffickers, and fighting for survivors, all left the scene of the crime to take on full-time jobs so they can put a roof over their heads and pay their bills. Imagine what that would look like. Mere fractions of the truth would be exposed. Hundreds of thousands of people in this fight would no longer carry a voice or produce the information. The pressure on the government would slow to a roll. The public would be far from woke.
Here’s the reality. Those that have certain skill sets and were impassioned to fight this battle, sacrificed a lot to step up. Many are scraping pennies in the name of truth. The majority of the truth fighters could care less about fame. In addition to that, hundreds of thousands with full-time jobs have also stepped up to fight this battle within the time frames available to them. Everyone is working their butts off, and everyone deserves to eat and have a roof over their head. This is not only a battle for our country, but a spiritual battle for our souls. But at the end of the day, if they promote a “donate button”, they are vilified. It is a manipulative tactic that has seeped into the minds of many, and it is the one tactic everyone should be able to spot on a dime. It’s the money enslavement “how dare you” system to prevent truth, that has been in place for decades. Those that spend a great deal of time pushing this narrative, should be asked who’s paying for all of their bills, if they are doing this full-time?
Discernment & Perception
Have you ever wanted to believe in something so badly that you convinced yourself it was true?
The reality is, truth isn’t always pretty. Sometimes truth comes in a very complex package. Try to remove yourself from the emotion around it, take a step back, and see it through a scientific lens. You are combing for facts. You cannot pick and choose truth based on how you feel about it, or whether you like someone or not, or even if you know someone or not. Facts speak for themselves. Not a partial fact, but the complete facts. Circumstantial evidence paints a picture, providing itself is in fact solid evidence, but it does not provide the entire reality. It lends itself to future discoveries that may eventually lead to the entire reality, so it’s always wise to keep it in your back pocket until enough facts are revealed. If these facts are not backed with solid evidence, and are the makings of a twisted narrative from a potential fraction of truth, it should give one pause as to what motives lie beneath.
If one really wants to have a fuller comprehension of just how deep the level of distortion within social influence is, this 1979 essay on “Resisting Social Influence” from Standford University is well worth the read. It not only dives into social influence, but covers ways to combat the control and confusion by using critical thinking. It was unclassified for the Office of Naval Research – Organization Effectiveness Research Programs. Here is a very brief intro to what it discusses:
“Resisting social influence becomes important when such influences can be appropriately thought of as “mind control.” When information is systematically hidden, withheld or distorted it is impossible to make unbiased decisions. Under these circumstances, people may be subtly led to believe they are “freely” choosing to act. The thesis of this essay is that “mind control” exists not in exotic gimmicks, but rather in the most mundane aspects of experience. Because it does, it is possible to reduce our susceptibility to unwanted coercive control by increasing our vigilance and learning to utilize certain basic strategies of analysis.”
Their Goal: Distraction, Destruction & Division
This has been the goal all along, and everyone should be aware of this by now. Whereas this began decades ago, and has been carried out under the guise of caring for people, it has reared its ugly head in full transparency for all to see. In fact, it’s pushed in everyone’s faces on a minute-to-minute basis, and it has moved way beyond the usual suspects. The concept has seethed its way into countless individuals who are utilizing these tactics on a regular basis. It seems easy to pinpoint for most people, when it comes to known nefarious actors, but not so easy when dealing with vast amounts of people across social media platforms. Some do it for attention, some want to obliterate what they deem as their competition, some like to play that junior high school game of being in “clicks” which somehow makes them feel special, and some get paid to do it. Unfortunately, all of this confusion has resulted in a staggering amount of individuals who are doing it subconsciously without even being aware of the destruction and division they are creating. Don’t fall for their tactics. Learn to spot them.

• Always fact-check – knowledge is power
• Trust in yourself
• Never underestimate your worthiness
• Doubt stems from fear – intuition stems from truth
• Do not invest in what others think about you
• Do not idolize others, exposing yourself to be exploited
• If you are confused, step away and return with clarity
• Do not jump to conclusions or make assumptions
• Don’t engage in the rage
• Avoid groupthink and think for yourself
• Don’t stand for shaming or guilting
• Never give up, but find balance
• Know their tactics
Pull up your boots, put on your thinking cap, and avoid the cognitive dissonance mudslide.

When the owner saw what was on it, he was so disturbed that he contacted the FBI. No response. The DOJ? No response. Eventually, it landed in Giuliani's possession and he turned it over to the Delaware State Police. There's quite a lot of child porn on there; much of it involving children on Hunter's many trips to China.
Millions were paid to Hunter for favors with the US Govt while Joe was VP under Obama.

In the week after the New York Post published its damaging report on Hunter Biden, the New York Times has run a grand total of five news stories on the topic.
The first report started this way: “The Biden campaign on Wednesday rejected a New York Post report about Joseph R. Biden Jr. and his son Hunter that the nation’s leading social media companies deemed so dubious that they limited access to the article on their platforms.”
Two of the other stories focused on the social media angle. Another hinted that the scandal was part of a Russian disinformation campaign. The fifth was about how some reporters at the New York Post had “questioned the credibility” of the story.
Whatever you think of the New York Post or Donald Trump or Joe Biden, this story is what we in the news business call “news.” Yet the rest of the mainstream press handled it almost exactly as the Times did – as an inconvenience.
Those of us who’ve been around awhile have come to notice a similar pattern when it comes to every other scandal involving Democrats. So here, as a reader service, is a handy media guide to how the press covers — or more appropriately, covers up — Democratic scandals.
1. Ignore the story as long as possible. The first step in reporting a Democratic scandal is to not cover it at all. Keep it contained among bloggers and the conservative press in hopes that it doesn’t go anywhere. A perfect example of this was the Biden town hall held right after the Post story broke during which ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos asked Biden zero questions about the report.
2. Devote minimal resources to covering it. When ignoring the story isn’t a possibility, devote minimal resources to it. By all means, don’t assign investigative reporters to cover it, lest they dig up something else. The mainstream press initially justified its lack of coverage of the substance of the Post report by claiming that it hadn’t verified the story. That’s easy to do when you don’t lift a finger to actually verify it. As the Post wrote in an editorial: “Don’t ask too many questions, and you can dismiss it all as ‘unverified.’ ”
3. Focus on the denials. The first story in Politico about the Post story was “Biden campaign lashes out at the New York Post.” The Times’ headline was “Allegation on Biden Prompts Pushback From Social Media Companies.”
4. Attack the messenger. In the case of the Post story, mainstream news outlets were more interested in trashing Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani than in determining the veracity of the emails he was revealing, claiming he was a stooge spreading Russian disinformation. The Washington Post’s initial coverage ran under the headline: “White House was warned Giuliani was target of Russian intelligence operation to feed misinformation to Trump.” The Daily Beast’s contribution said that “Bolton Warned His Staff To Stay Away From Russia-Aligned Rudy Giuliani.”
5. Play up doubts. Rather than chase down the facts of the scandal, the New York Times sent reporters to investigate the Post. The result was a story headlined “New York Post Published Hunter Biden Report Amid Newsroom Doubts.”
6. Cast it in a partisan light. If a scandal involves a Democrat, the press can always be counted on to dismiss it as part of some Republican strategy to distract voters from the important issues.
7. Set an incredibly high bar for what constitutes wrongdoing. If nothing else, the Hunter emails suggest that Joe Biden flat out lied when he claimed he’d had nothing to do with Hunter’s business dealings. Yet while the press keeps track of every utterance of Trump’s that it can claim to be untrue, Biden’s apparent flagrant and self-serving lie is treated as a nothingburger.
8. Do the opposite of No. 7 if the scandal involves a Republican.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: If it weren’t for double standards, the mainstream media would have no standards at all.
